Many consumers of mass media believe the current global uprising is over a video and they are unsure whether to blame or apologize. It is not about a video, just like most of what consumers know about economics, politics and government is seldom based on fact. They none-the-less loudly voice their media driven opinions with scant regard to the highly conflicted nature of their sources.

It’s not much different with our government manipulated education system, which has now produced a generation that struggles with basic math and English, let alone critical thinking, and thus easily swayed to support all manner of social cause, which are in fact beneficial and highly lucrative to a self-serving few. These lemmings will rage on about “Citizen United” and the threat of money in politics, while having nary a hint of the reality that this Supreme Court Ruling protected the political driven messages of their media favorites like Al Gore, Michael Moore or the often political programing of PBS and the Daily Show.

Classical literature from decades ago clearly described the threat to and downfall of civilizations that allowed a few sources to shape the collective message for mass audiences.  Sadly, our education system now seldom warns of the constant threat of calculating media organizations or its own politically driven curriculum, which is predictably producing the results that generations before us gravely warned.

September 14, 2012 12:15 AM ~ Oh look, the U.S dollar is down against virtually all major currencies. That would mean the purchasing power of your dollar is declining again, just as it does every time your government pretends to be saving the economy with more meddling and favoritism.

What do you think gold, silver, and oil are doing? How about the cost of food like corn, wheat, sugar and coffee?  Government isn’t going to do the right thing when it is far easier to just screw future generations.

Don’t have time for politics? Think economics is really boring? Yeah, we know, and so do politicians that get away with so much corruption and self-dealing thanks to your ADD.

“In a capitalist society, all human relationships are voluntary. Men are free to cooperate or not, to deal with one another or not, as their own individual judgments, convictions and interests dictate.” ~ Ayn Rand

It often seems like the best thing the Democrats have going for them is the astonishing dysfunction, hypocrisy and arrogance of the G.O.P. leadership.  Since the Democrats are no slouches when it comes to hypocrisy, arrogance and economic dysfunction it is not surprising that presidential election polls indicate a toss-up.

No matter who gets elected, there is little doubt our government will continue viewing you as the problem rather than the constant meddling by government into any aspect of your life that can be taxed, regulated or adjudicated.
