Occupy Wall Street one year anniversary was marked with small organized protests of a few hundred people in NY City with scattered arrests.   Additional protests are expected this week, with heavy police presence planned in N.Y. City.   Most indications point to a movement in steep decline.

Thousands protested over Japan’s proposed purchase of the disputed islands in the China Sea. Violence erupted in major Chinese cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Qingdao, and Hong Kong in response to the Japanese Cabinet’s approval of the purchase by the Japanese Government from private Japanese interests.  Video at Dailymotion and Al Jazeera:
